ABOUT THE BOAT

Captain Marrio charters out of an 23’ foot Carolina Skiff 238 DLV Custom. It can run in both the shallow water of the back country and up to 15 miles offshore with no problems.

The motor is a 150 horse power Mercury four stroke with a stainless steel propeller. This motor is just the right size for the fishing Captain Marrio prefers to do and allows for easy travel in the shallow sections of the Crystal River area but still has the power to get to his further fishing destinations.

On the boat there is 7 foot tower for maximum visibility of the surrounding water. This tower is where Captain Marrio will spot the fish from and direct you to where you need to cast. The boat also includes an i-Pilot system, Power Pole Shallow Water anchor system, and Side Imaging unit to assist with all aspects of the day’s agenda, from finding the fish to sneaking in and settling down quietly to make just the right cast.

ABOUT THE CAPTAIN

Captain Marrio Castello has been fishing the waters of Crystal River his entire life. With fishing on the brain at all times, even during his old work in the construction business, it became common sense to him that he needed to make a living in the industry.

Spreading the bug, Captain Marrio takes his kids out fishing on a regular basis. He primarily targets Red fish and Trout, but depending upon the season, will catch anything willing to hit his line. During the summer, Captain Marrio always makes some time to swim and scallop in the crystal clear water on the flats.

Some of Captain Marrio's achievements in the fishing community include being on the Reel Time Florida Sportsman show and having multiple pictures shown on the Florida Insider Fishing report and the front pages on the Florida Sportsman website.
